Note:
1． 对数码（Digital相片的要求：至少要用8.2 megapixel SLR 的相机。 如：CanonEOS-1DSMark 2,1D Mark 2 N, 5D, 30D, 20D 和 Nikon D2x and D200. 相片（包括）样片不要压缩。可用24 MB RGB TIFF file.
2． 胶片相片：用35mm 胶片。胶片底板不能有伤痕。
The specifications provided here are general guidelines in order to obtain the optimum quality of photographs with respect to their technical characteristics. There are many circumstances where one or more of these specifications may not be met, but where the photograph may turn out to be acceptable. Therefore, please consider the following as the goal, not the absolute requirement.
If your photography is on film transparencies:
• 35mm film is preferably mounted on slides.
• If not mounted on slides, 35mm film must be protected by plastic sleeves.
• All other formats, film must be protected by plastic sleeves.
• Only original film will be accepted.
If your photography is on film negatives:
• All film must be protected by plastic sleeves.
• A color-match print, if available, would be desirable.
• Only original film will be accepted.
If your photography is digital:
• Best specifications would be 16.6 megapixels, RAW format, with accompanying XMP file for color management.
• Minimum specifications would be 8.0 megapixels, JPEG format with maximum quality compression.
• All files in Adobe 1998 color space, at least 8-bit color.
• The megapixels listed here is based on original capture. Upsizing to meet requirements is not recommended.
Captioning:
All photographs must be accurately captioned. Ideally, caption information should include:
• Location information, such as Street name, followed by City and Province.
• Commonly used name for the location.
• Brief sentence describing the photograph, such as activity, objects, etc.
• Additional information could include time of day, season, festival, event, etc.
It is critical that caption information is correctly cross-referenced to the photograph. The following practices have been successfully used by many photographers.
• Each photograph must have a unique name or number.
• For film, the name or number must be written on the slide mount, or on its plastic sleeve in permanent ink.
• For digital files, the filename must be the photograph’s name or number.
• If captions are provided on separate sheets of paper or data file, the photograph’s name or number must be listed with its caption.
• The English language is preferred, but not absolutely necessary.
