D80和400D不是一个档次的，当然D80！

40D和D80 比较才可以，与400D相比，D80 好多了。建议楼主把两个机器拿在手里，一拿便知。

我是从佳能转入尼康，之前是400D陪伴近1年半的旅途。同意一境了然的意见，先去商家握握看。相机是握在手上的，质量再好不适合自己的手那岂不是拿来来很龌龊？ 开个玩笑。。
再仔细看看400D和D80出片的颜色。 可以到论坛里找找。 中底段的机器图的是便捷简单。要我来看他们各自有长处。你说张曼玉和巩利谁漂亮。您熟悉自己的口味后自然会明白哪一只更适合您。

打鸟D300，日常生活D80，像DC用D40或D40X，做相D70。

first of all, i apology for my typeing in english because my computer has something wrong with it.

1. 40D is faster than D200, just a bit.. 6.5Fps vs 5Fps
2. 40D's high ISO performance is also better than D200
3. 40D equip dust reduction (may be useful?)

4. i have used them both before, D200's handling was wonderful!~ it was much better than 40D

so the conclusion is that 40D may better than D200 but not too much, or we say
40D >= D200 it will be more accurate.
